CROSSING
A digital and symphonic work where art and technology are combined
Temporary exhibition on multiple levels
From 06/02/2025 - Until 04/01/2026
The Atomium invites the artist collective Visual System to occupy its exhibition spaces and dedicates its program to digital art. For this new edition, Visual System designing CROSSING, a digital and symphonic work in which art and technology are combined to create a unique sensory experience.
With CROSSING, Visual System continues its exploration of the synergies between art and technology by taking over the whole of one of the nine spheres. Connecting its two levels with an organic structure, the installation ventures beyond the sphere, into the staircase and escalator leading up to it. Like a living organism that seems to emerge and flourish, it invites the public to take part in an original visual and sound journey. Original music by Thomas Vaquié accompanies the emotions of the visitors, who become the protagonists of their own experience.
Visual System is a collective of multidisciplinary artists who since 2007 have been exploring the links between creative techniques and visual perception. It creates hypnotic immersive environments, with light and sound, that explore the relationship between space and time, nature and science, waking dreams and reality. Their installations, both permanent and temporary, allow the audience to move at their own pace to discover the spaces they walk through in a new light.
